IN THE FOURTH WATCH

IN THE FOURTH WATCH

Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”

Matthew 14:25‭-‬27 NKJV

OBSERVATION

The fourth Watch is between 3 and 6  in the morning. This is the time when those who have been out for different operations begin to return after their night mission.

The boat was in the middle of the sea tossed by the waves because the wind was contrary.

Today we are facing contrary winds that are hitting against us in different ways. We are being buffeted from all side....during the fourth watch.

The good news is that Jesus showed up during the " fourth Watch"  walking on the water.

Walking on the water is symbolic of dominion and conquest. Whatever is under your feet is under your control.  I wish to say to you today "fear not" the Lord  Jesus Christ will show up, he will bring the situation under his feet and he will move towards your direction and bring calm to the troubled waters. All this will be his intervention.

At this time Jesus expected the disciples to exercise faith in him no matter the storm, no matter the contrary wind. The Lord is walking towards your direction, your situation is under his feet. The pain, and  sorrow, the turbulence, the restlessness in your spirit, the fear, the doubt all these are under his feet.

CONFESSION:

Lord Jesus we confess that you are the only Son of God sent on a redemptive mission on earth which you accomplished by your voluntary death on the cross for our salvation and sanctification.  We believe in your love and power to heal and deliver. We call this situation and winds of death that is contrary to us  to be under your feet and have no effect as you bring calm to lives and families in Jesus Name.
