Unless the Lord had been my help, my soul would have lived in the land of silent death. When I said, “My foot slips,” Your mercy, O Lord , held me up. When there is a multitude of worries within me, Your comforts delight my soul.

1. THE LORD IS OUR SOLE HELPER

Unless the Lord had been my help my soul would have lived in silent death.

Those who believe and trust even rely on the Lord - enjoy the help that comes from above. The Lord spares those who put their trust in him from the claws of  death even at times unknown.

2. WHEN MY FOOT SLIPS

Our foot does falter at times if not most of the time...." but your mercy oh Lord held me up". Knowingly and unknowingly his mercy reaches out to us in the swiftest way to hold us up from slipping off track. Lord we thank you. Surely we say "If the Lord had not been my help...my soul would have long rested in the land of the dead. "Surely he will not suffer my foot to slip" Ps. 121:3

3. IN MULTITUDE OF WORRIES

"When there is a multitude of worries within me, Your comforts delight my soul." Ps.94:19

We all face a multitude of worries. We worry and over worry. We find ourselves overtaken by worries of different kinds. These worries affect us psychologically..the way we think, emotionally - our feelings stretch to the extreme or shrink to the point where we lose our emotional balance even the way we think. The Lord says in such a situation " your comforts delight my soul."  The Lord has a way in any situation to release his comfort to him or her who is going through such experiences of life.

CONCLUSION

a. The Lord IS YOUR HELP

b. The Lord SPARES YOU FROM DEATH

c. The Lord WILL HOLD YOU UP when you slip

d. The Lord will COMFORT YOU when you are overwhelmed with worries.
